Team Alasera had a banner week-end at the SCVKC agility trial, August 21, 22, and 23 at the Washington County fairgrounds in Lake Elmo, MN. All four dogs competed in various classes. Here’s the breakdown…
2-Two new Titles!! Abby got her third and final leg for her Ex. A. Standard title (AX). Ace got his final leg for his Open Standard title. (OA) Both dogs looked great and placed in those runs.
2-Double Q’s-by Mellie.
12-Placement ribbons! (6-1st places, 4-2nd places, 2-4th place finishes)
14-Qualifying runs: Ripley earned legs toward his Novice Standard title and Open Jumpers title, only needing one more of each for his titles) Ace earned three qualifying runs, Mellie had 5 out of 6 qualifying runs, and Abby had 3 out of 6 qualifying runs.
107-MACH points: Abby earned 28 points on one run, by coming in first in a competitive 8″ class. Ace earned two points and Mellie earned 77 points in her five qualifying runs. Only 26 more points to earn her first MACH title.
It was a great week-end, with ups and downs and lots of laughs. Like when Ripley jumped on, then off the table, then on, then off, then on, and then off to visit the judge….when Ace jumped over a bar and then turned around and sniffed it as though someone had bathed it in Eau d’ dog scent…when Mellie stopped mid-weave because someone was walking alongside her outside the ring and popped out…like when Abby decided the teeter was still just a bit scary and waited 8 seconds in the middle before gracing me with a full teeter performance… and especially when Miss Mellie decided to pull out all the stops and run some absolutely fabulous standard runs and take second place two days in a row, to earn some multiplier MACH points. Lots of great memories and plenty of silk to grace the countertops!
