At the Norwegian Elkhound Association of Minnesota’s agility trial on March 14, 15th, Ace earned his OAJ title in style with another first place finish. He entered the Ex. A. JWW course the next day and although Terry and Ace did not qualify, they both turned in a great performance. The third leg of the Novice Standard continues to elude them, as contact fears rose up once again.

Mellie had 3 out of 4 runs qualifying, with one third place finish. She earned her 15th QQ, and another 21 points. She only made one small error in her standard run, keeping her from another Double Q.

Abby had issues with her teeter and weave performance, but otherwise enjoyed her runs.

At the TCOTC trial from 2/27/09 to 3/1/09, Abby and Ace had some great runs at their training club. Abby ran some of her best ever Jumpers runs and earned her AXJ title. She also overcame her teeter fears and managed another leg toward her OA title. Ace, not to be undone, had two great Jumpers runs, earning two legs towards his Open Jumpers title. He still has some teeter problems of his own, so did not get any legs to his Novice Standard title. All in all, we ended up with 5 qualifying runs and all of them first place finishes!! Mellie had to sit this trial out as she still was in heat.
