On January 19th and 20th, Abby and Mellie participated in the Greater Twin Cities Golden Retriever Club agility trial in St. Paul, MN. They both had some fabulous runs and won some nice placements.

Mellie qualified in both Standard agility runs for the week-end. She had great times and earned a fourth place finish and 16 MACH points on Saturday and a second place finish and 21 MACH points on Sunday. Unfortunately, just a few problems with her Jumper’s courses kept her from qualifying in that area.

Abby earned her first ever agility title in AKC. She qualified in her Novice Jumpers with Weaves course and now she has her NAJ title! She did it in grand style with 15 seconds under course time and a first place ribbon. She also qualified in her Novice Standard course on the same day. This time, 21 seconds under course time and another first place finish. She had an absolute blast doing it too. Unfortunately, on Sunday, she did not qualify in either run, but her times were incredible and she made very few mistakes. She only needs one more qualifying run in the Standard course to get her next title.
